Jamaican motorists will, come Thursday (June 2), be met with another round of gas price increases, as State-owned refinery Petrojam introduces a new wave of price hikes.

Petrojam, in its petroleum product price index, advised that with both grades of gasoline up by J$4.50, 87 octane gasoline will now be sold at J$211.39 per litre, while 90 octane gasoline will be sold at J$216.40 per litre.

After an increase of J$3.06, automotive diesel fuel will be sold at J$214.01 per litre, while ultra-low sulphur diesel will be sold for J$216.74 per litre.

It is expected that retailers will add their mark-ups to the announced prices.
