Grammy award-winning reggae group Morgan Heritage recently announced the release date for their new studio album, The Homeland set to be out on April 21.

The star-studded 21-track collection marks a new era for Morgan Heritage, being the first since the passing of their father, Denroy Morgan, last year.

The Homeland is decorated with guest contributions from several artistes including Popcaan, Youssou N’Dour, Shaggy, Beenie Man, Shatta Wale, and Mádé Kuti. These collaborations expand the group’s global reach from the Caribbean to the rest of the world.

This album is a project of rebirth for the Morgan brothers (Peetah, Grams and Mojo) built upon a lineage that has lasted decades and one that will continue to forge forward. Musically, they take listeners on a journey that not only remind them of the past, but the future ahead.

To accompany the album announcement, Morgan Heritage shared the lead single Who Deh Like U featuring Bounty Killer, Cham and Stonebwoy.

“It’s hard to find anyone to compare to you. Even from a million miles away your value will never diminish because you are so unique…. It will be hard to find another like you anywhere in the world,” shared Mojo Morgan about the meaning of the track.

The Homeland kicks off a busy year for Morgan Heritage, who is set to appear at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April. This marks the start of the reggae band’s global promotional tour, with planned stops in Los Angeles, New York, England, Germany, France, Uganda and Ghana.
