Mother’s Food Group has expanded its product offering with the launch of Mother’s Bakery.

The Jamaican company, which has been in operation for over 42 years, announced the launch of the new business line, noting that it signals “a strategic expansion into retail and wholesale markets”.

The food establishment known for its chain of quick-service Mother’s restaurants has plans to bring “high-quality, delicious baked goods” to its consumers locally and abroad. Included in its range of products are spice buns, Easter buns, packaged pastries, wheat and hard dough breads, among other baked goods.

This expansion forms part of the company’s vision to produce a local product with global appeal.

“As a company deeply rooted in Jamaican culture and operated by Jamaicans, we understand the local market, taste preferences, and consumer desires. With this experience, we have crafted products that cater to everyone’s palate,” Seymour explained.

Mother’s Food Group has been on a growth trajectory since its acquisition by Roots Financial last year. The company has increased its concessionaire business in schools, opened a café at the University Hospital of the West Indies, and expanded its footprint through the Mother’s Express brand in local gas stations.

According to the company’s management the food service provider is evolving from a beloved local brand to a global contender in the food industry.
