Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant advanced to the final of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup 5-2 on aggregate after losing the second leg 0-1 in Kingston at the National Stadium on Wednesday night.

Mount Pleasant entered the game with a 5-1 advantage from the first leg in Trinidad and Tobago a few weeks ago, and that deficit proved insurmountable.

Captain Kevin Molino gave Defence Force hope by scoring early in the 13^th minute, but that’s all they got as Mount Pleasant stood firm and booked their spot in the final.

The St Ann-based club is looking to continue the streak of Jamaican teams in the Caribbean Cup Final. Cavalier FC is the reigning champion and also finished as runners-up in 2023, the tournament’s inaugural edition.

The other semi-final is delicately poised at 1-1 between Ciboa FC and O&M FC, both clubs from the Dominican Republic
