Caribbean champions Mount Pleasant start their charge to the leaders with a 1-0 win over Arnett Gardens at Drax Hall in their Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League match on Thursday.

Daniel Green scored the all-important goal in the 50^th minute, enabling Mount Pleasant to move to 30 points, 12 behind leaders Montego Bay United, but have four games in hand.

Arnett Gardens continue to struggle for consistency and are languishing in 10^th spot on 23 points, three points adrift of the last playoff spot held by Cavalier SC.

Meanwhile, at the Edward Seaga Stadium, home team Tivoli Gardens and Treasure Beach FC played to a tame 0-0 draw.

Tivoli Gardens inched to 27 points to be in fifth spot, while the promoted Treasure Beach are 12^th on 19 points, five points above the relegation zone occupied by Harbour View.

On Wednesday, Dunbeholden FC jumped three spots to seventh on 25 points following their 1-0 win over Cavalier SC. Shakeen Powell got the clincher in the 57^th minute. Cavalier are sixth on 26 points.
