Veteran music producer Mr Doo is over the moon at the public reception to his recently released Doo Run album that was co-produced with international star Shaggy.

Released on September 3, the album, which features the vocals of Shaggy, Bounty Killer, Rayvon, Brian & Tony Gold, Kevin Lawrence and several other artistes, has been submitted for consideration for the Best Reggae Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

“I can tell you that both Shaggy and myself, and everyone else involved with this project, are very happy right now. We know that the Grammy nomination selection process is highly competitive but we are hopeful that the album might get selected. Even if that doesn’t happen we’re still grateful that it was considered,” said Mr Doo.

Two of the songs from the album are currently on the charts in the United States; Drive Me Crazy by Shaggy & Rayvon that is currently number 8 on the T.R.F.N Top 30 music chart in New York and Things You Do by Bounty Killer and Brian & Tony Gold that is in the number 25 spot on the same chart.

“The album is doing well in various territories and I am happy to see that some of the songs have begun to chart in the US,” the producer said.

“I’m grateful to all the DJs who are playing the songs on the Doo Run Riddim and the fans who have been streaming and downloading them online.”

Mr Doo also revealed that he and Shaggy currently working on several other ‘exciting’ new projects.

“Shaggy and I are working on some very big projects that we plan to drop soon. I don’t want to say much about them right now but I can tell you we’re coming with some exciting stuff,” he said.
