The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is digging into a fresh set of sexual assault accusations involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Officials say the case landed on their desk after a police agency in Florida forwarded a report from the person making the claim. The department’s Special Victims Bureau is now taking the lead.
In Largo, Florida, police confirmed they helped officers in East Los Angeles gather information but said they aren’t running a separate investigation. Largo officers first spoke with the accuser back in September. Though the name was blacked out in the report, music producer Jonathan Hay later revealed online, before removing the posts, that he was the one who filed it. He also identified himself as one of the anonymous plaintiffs suing Combs in a civil case this summer.
According to the report, Hay claims that in February 2020, Combs performed a sexual act in his presence and tried to involve him. Hay says he froze, stunned by what was happening, and that Combs threw a soiled shirt, allegedly with semen, at him afterwards. Hay also detailed another incident from March 2021 in which he says CJ Wallace, the son of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G., brought him to a location where two men covered his head before Combs entered and, as Hay alleges, forced oral contact multiple times.
Hay told officers he had been trading photos and videos with Wallace while working on a music project, which he says eventually led him into encounters with Combs.
Wallace recently fired back in court, filing a counterclaim in Florida. He denies everything Hay has accused him of and says the claims were designed to damage his name and career. He’s asking for a jury trial along with financial damages.
Combs’ civil attorney responded by saying the music mogul has spent the past year facing a wave of baseless accusations. The attorney said Combs fully rejects the claims and intends to clear his name in court, stressing that the legal process, not online noise, will be where the truth is settled.
