New Bahamas High Commissioner to Jamaica, Leslia Miller-Brice, has officially started her tour of duty.

Ambassador Miller-Brice met yesterday (May 16) with Prime Minister Andrew Holness, where she presented him with her Letter of Introduction appointing her as High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to Jamaica.

Her appointment solidifies the deepening ties between her country and Jamaica.

Jamaica and The Bahamas established diplomatic relations on the July 10, 1973. Since then, both countries have fostered a relationship centred on trust, mutual respect, and shared democratic principles and values.

Prime Minister Holness commented that High Commissioner Miller-Brice’s “appointment as ambassador will reaffirm our commitment to strengthening regional ties between Jamaica and The Bahamas, paving the way for a brighter future for both countries.”
