New LIAT to start flying to Jamaica

The new iteration of regional carrier, LIAT will soon be flying to Jamaica.

LIAT 2020, the Eastern Caribbean national carrier has added the Jamaican capital city of Kingston to its roster come December 20. The popular Caribbean destination will be Liat 2020’s newest destination.

The flights will be operated between Antigua and Kingston with the service operating twice each week on Fridays and Sundays. The new service is already bookable on Liat 2020’s website.  

Prices are running around US$701.07. LIAT 2020, the new iteration of defunct predecessor LIAT (Antigua and Barbuda), is a 30/70 joint venture between the government of Antigua & Barbuda and Nigerian carrier Air Peace (P4, Lagos). 

It made its inaugural flight on August 6, 2024, with an E145 with the airline serving five additional islands of St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St Kitts and Nevis, after initially operating from Antigua.
