Nearly a month after its March 18 unveiling, RUBIS Energy Jamaica Limited (REJL) is still revelling in the upgraded RUBiS Gore Terrace Service Station on Constant Spring Road, St Andrew.
In a recent statement, REJL said that the move comes as part of the company’s continued strategy to offer its customers a first-class experience and services in keeping with international standards.
French Ambassador to Jamaica, Olivier Guyonvarch, private sector stakeholders, brand associates, company executives and REJL’s new managing director, Michel Malatino were all on hand for the fanfare-filled ceremony.
Malatino asserted that RUBiS remains focused on providing Jamaicans with its premium fuels in addition to exceptional service, as Jamaica represents the company’s largest network in the Caribbean.
“The investments we continue to make in Jamaica will not only increase our brand visibility, but also allow us to offer even more opportunities for local entrepreneurs and employment for members of the communities in which we operate. It is our goal to ensure that our premium fuels, Ultra Tec 90, Ultra Tec ULSD and RUBiS Lubricants are the consumer’s first choice. We will also continue to offer the best customer experience in the market,” said Malatino.
The renovated site boasts a fresh, modern and appealing look with LED forecourt lighting, new canopy design, digital price board, free air pump, a new Ultra Shop, café with WiFi access, ABM facility, new management and a strong customer-centric team.
Venice Anderson-Facey, who shares the dealership with her husband, Damion Facey, was eager to welcome customers to the newly renovated site which was previously closed to facilitate road works along the busy thoroughfare and renovations to the station.
“We are here to serve, because we believe in a customer-centric approach. We are excited and our staff are excited because with the relaxation of COVID-19 measures, the site will soon return a 24-hour model,” shared Anderson-Facey.
Ambassador Guyonvarch expressed his delight to see the continued investment in Jamaica by French companies.
“I am very proud to witness this event by RUBiS because RUBiS is one of the main French companies in Jamaica. This company is special because it provides good service, good products to its customers and it also gives back to the society through a programme to help young people in need to develop themselves in arts and education; and in France, arts and education is very important,” Guyonvarch explained.
REJL will also upgrade the Washington Boulevard service station by adding an Ultra Shop, which it diclosed is currently under construction.
RUBiS launched in Jamaica in 2013 and now operates over 350 retail service stations in 17 territories across the Caribbean—with Jamaica being the largest single entity boasting 48 locations across the island, and currently has the largest privately-owned fuel storage facility nationally.
