After a three-year hiatus, Alkaline’s flagship concert, New Rules, is set to return to Jamaica with a highly anticipated staging on July 5 at the Trelawny Stadium.

This marks the first time the event will be held locally since its 2022 showing at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The Jamaican date is the third leg of the New Rules 2025 international tour, which began in London on April 17 and continues to Canada on June 21. The multi-city series not only reflects

Alkaline’s sustained global appeal but also underscores the enduring loyalty of his fanbase, who have supported his evolution from a promising Kingston teen into one of dancehall’s most commanding and influential figures.

Born Earlan Bartley, Alkaline began recording music at age fifteen, eventually rising to prominence in 2013 with hits like ‘Things Mi Luv‘, ‘123‘, and ‘Bruk Out‘.

His striking image—marked by signature black-eye contact lenses—and bold, introspective lyrics made him a standout in the genre.

He further cemented his legacy with the release of his debut album ‘New Level Unlocked‘ in 2016, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart and helped him achieve mainstream success globally.

The upcoming New Rules Jamaica staging promises a star-studded lineup of special guest performers, with organisers teasing a refreshed production concept to elevate the audience experience.

Trelawny Stadium has been selected for its larger capacity and modern infrastructure, making it well-suited for the scale and ambition of this year’s show.

Beyond music, Alkaline has expanded his cultural reach through fashion, landing a campaign with luxury brand Givenchy, and was recently honoured by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for his contributions to Jamaican music and culture.

His recent hits such as ‘Boss‘, ‘Mad Luv‘, and ‘Ocean Wave‘ continue to dominate playlists and affirm his place at the forefront of contemporary dancehall.

Full details on ticket sales, artist lineup, and media access will be announced in the coming weeks, as the countdown begins for what promises to be one of the summer’s most significant music events.
