

Newly appointed government senators Abka Fitz-Henley and Dr Dana Morris Dixon were sworn into the Upper House on Friday (May 12).
This appointment comes after the resignation of government senators Natalie Campbell-Rodriques and Leslie Campbell.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the announcement on Thursday (May 11) and expalined that wrote to the Governor General recommending the appointment of the two individuals.

Fitz-Henley is a retired journalist who is popularly known for providing jamaicans with breaking news, has served in the profession for 13 years and have won multiple awards for his work in investigative journalism.
Dr Dana Morris Dixon, is the general manager of JN General Insurance Company and has also served in senior public sector roles in the Office of the Prime Minister and JAMPRO.
