The Tennessee Titans are off to a rough start this season, sitting at 1-5 after a 20-10 loss to Las Vegas on Sunday.
Surprisingly, the team decided to part ways with head coach Brian Callahan, who finished with a tough 4-19 record during his time leading the Titans. He became the first NFL coach to be fired this season.
No interim coach has been named yet, leaving the team in a bit of limbo as they try to turn things around. While nobody expected Tennessee to be Super Bowl favourites this year, the owners clearly expected more than this rocky start in Callahan’s second season.
With rookie quarterback Cam Ward still finding his footing, the Titans now face the challenge of picking up the pieces and pushing forward.
Adding an interesting twist, the Titans are set to face off against Mike Vrabel and the Patriots in Week 7, a reunion with their former head coach.
