The National Health Fund (NHF) is mourning the death of Ryland Campbell, the first Chairman of its Board of Management.

Dr Christopher Tufton said: “Mr Campbell’s dedication to the NHF’s mission has left an indelible mark on Jamaica’s healthcare system. His legacy will continue to inspire the Fund as it strives to fulfill the mandate of ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for Jamaicans.”

Campbell provided invaluable oversight to the development of the NHF’s long-term strategy, which was significant to the organisation’s growth and effect on Jamaica’s healthcare landscape during his tenure.

The NHF achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification, a testament to his commitment to excellence and quality in healthcare delivery.

“Mr. Campbell was with the NHF at the time of its inception and in the early years. As a man of integrity and wisdom, he contributed to the good corporate governance practices at the Fund that are still being utilized now. As we seek to grow and improve on our services, his impact on the DNA of the Fund will continue to be acknowledged,” said NHF chief executive Everton Anderson.

The NHF further extend its sympathies to Campbell’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
