Fans and critics alike are abuzz after today’s release of Nicki Minaj’s Do We Have Problem single and accompanying music video, featuring rapper Lil Baby.

The nearly 10-minute long music video, which has, not surprisingly, already racked up more than three million views, reminds fans of Minaj’s acting abilities.

Do We Have a Problem is Minaj’s first single afte a three-year hiatus. The mother of one, can be heard rapping about weapons and aggressively communicating to her enemies and opponents to watch out for her and her capabilities.

“[The song is] just bringing it back to rap records… just where people can play it, and they can sing along to it with their dude. You just get that natural essence of rap again,” the star shared in an interview.

The accompanying music video features Cory Hardict, husband of Tia Mowry, and Joseph Sikora, known for his role as Tommy, the ride or die drug dealer best friend to Ghost in the Showtime series, Power. Ironically, here he plays a police officer.

The storyline of the music video is rather interesting and is centred on a high-octane bank heist that sees Minaj doubling crossing her partner, played by Sikora.

It is said that the track will appear on her highly anticipated upcoming album, which will be her first since 2018’s Queen.

The rapper, who appeared on the James Corden show leading up to the song’s release, shared how nervous she was. “I get nervous every single time because you want the people to like what you do.”

She went on to reveal that her album will be released before summer.

“I do know it’s soon, and I know it’s a lot sooner than it’s ever been, and I know that it’s coming this year. I know that it will be out before the summertime,” the rapper said.
