Nicki Minaj has postponed a concert in Manchester due to her arrest in the Netherlands for suspected drug export.

The rapper was fined €350 by Dutch police and allowed to continue her travels.

She apologised for the inconvenience and announced she would play at the Manchester venue next Monday, June 3.

She referred to the cancelled show as a “class act” and announced that Ticketmaster would be in contact with fans.

Minaj was detained for five to six hours before being granted permission to fly from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

Around 20,000 fans were at the Co-op arena waiting for her show to start on Saturday, May 25, before the promoter of Live Nation announced that the show would be postponed.

The Netherlands has a policy of tolerance towards the sale or possession of small amounts of some drugs.
