Nigerian musician David ‘Davido’ Adeleke and Chioma Rowland have lost their son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos last night (October 31).

An anonymous family source said: “The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital. By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital, it was already too late.”

Ifeanyi Adekeke had just turned three years old on October 20.

Davido was travelling in the United States when the incident occurred and Chioma, who was also travelling, left the child in the care of a domestic assistant.
