Sportswear giants Nike released its new video campaign ‘Winning Isn’t for Everyone’ on Friday (July 19).

Featuring actor Willem Dafoe as narrator, the visually captivating commercial boasts appearances by elite Nike-sponsored athletes competing on the Olympic stage.

Athletic superstars LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Victor Wenbamyama, Sha’Carri Richardson, A’ja Wilson, and more well-known players are among those featured in the campaign.

The brand claims that this campaign elucidates the sacrifices, perseverance, and hard work athletes have to put into getting to the top of their respective sports and that their motivation began with having a winning mindset.

The chief marketing officer of Nike, Nicole Graham, stated: “This is about celebrating the voice of the athlete. It tells the tale of what it takes to be the (G.O.A.T) greatest of all time, the unformed legacies that still exist, as well as the hopes that will come true.

The legacies that have yet to be shaped. And the dreams that will be made real. It reminds the world that there’s nothing wrong with wanting to win.”
