National Insurance Scheme (NIS) pensioners who did not receive payments for April and May are set to have payments delivered by Tuesday (July 4), according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in a release today (June 3).
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security says it is aware that some NIS pensioners did not see their pension arrears for the months of April and May reflected in their bank accounts on June 30.
The ministry says this delay is due to a technical difficulty which prevented some pensioners from receiving their NIS pension in their bank accounts through direct deposit.
The Labour Ministry says it apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures pensioners that the Ministry is working assiduously with its financial partners to have the issue resolved urgently.
