Trinidad and Tobago’s Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated will be allowed to attend schools, when such institutions reopen.

According to Gadsby-Dolly, students irrespective of vaccination status will have to coexist pointing to the fact that currently many students are in homes with both the inoculated and the unvaccinated.

“The government has a policy of voluntary vaccination, with no requirement to prove vaccination status for access to public places of work, buildings or services. The Ministry of Education is guided by that,” said Gadsby-Dolly.

“At this time, in every office building, family, taxi in Trinidad and Tobago, the vaccinated and unvaccinated coexist. There is no requirement for separation. Schools are not expected to operate anydifferently,”added Gadsby-Dolly.

Prime Minister Keith Rowley recently announced that physical classes will be resume for pupils in forms :Four, Five and Six .

T&T’s 2021/2022 academic year is expected to begin on September 6.
