With news of motor vehicle break-ins at the National Stadium car park circulating, Independence Park Limited (IPL) General Manager, Major Desmon Brown, has publicly addressed the matter, confirming the reports as false.

Brown in a statement released today (June 15), said to his knowledge, the reported break-ins did not take place in the National Stadium’s parking lot.

“I have not received any such report from anyone attending any event at the National Stadium and who parked in the IPL designated car parks,” he said.

The general manager went on to note that any break-ins that occurred took place in areas outside of the IPL’s purview.

“The vehicles that were broken into were parked across the road from the National Stadium in areas not controlled by IPL security team,” Brown explained.
