Member of Parliament for North Central Clarendon, Robert Nesta Morgan, has successfully concluded his first series of health fairs across the constituency’s three divisions.

The events provided hundreds of residents with free healthcare services, back-to-school medical checks, dental care, NIRA pre-enrollment support, and employment opportunities.

The series began on Thursday, 23 July, in Mocho, where residents accessed free back-to-school medical examinations and National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) pre-enrollment services. Strong turnout underscored the community’s demand for accessible health and social services ahead of the new school year.

On Friday, 24 July, the fair continued in Rock River. Approximately 200 students received free medical checkups, while 40 received dental services. Families used the opportunity to address key health needs as children prepared for the academic year. Activities at Rock River Primary School included a bounce house and refreshments for waiting children.

The series concluded on Wednesday, 29 July, at the Summerfield Community Centre. Residents accessed medical screenings, back-to-school health checks, dental services, and NIRA support. The event recorded the highest NIRA pre-enrollment figures at any single location to date, with 59 persons completing the process. More than 100 residents also received assistance with birth certificate checks and corrections, helping resolve documentation barriers that often limit access to services and opportunities.

HEART Trust/NTA and Hawkeye participated at all three locations, offering career guidance, training information, and employment support. Hawkeye identified at least 40 persons across the divisions for potential job placement.

These health fairs reflect MP Morgan’s commitment to delivering essential services directly to communities, with a particular focus on students, families, and those seeking training or employment.
