International hotel chain Marriott will be managing a new all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, which is set to open this fall.

The adult-only all-inclusive resort will be managed as part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. According to parent company Blue Diamond Resorts, the new Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, will be opening its doors in “late November.”

Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters will be Marriott’s sixth all-inclusive resort in Jamaica, all of which are eligible for Bonvoy points redemption. It will have a total of 352 rooms and suites, set adjacent to the existing Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay resort.

Guests will have access to the neighboring Royalton Blue Waters resort. The resort says it is all about “togetherness,” targeting adult friends, couples and vacationers.

The property will include a Diamond Club pool and will boast 12 different fine-dining eateries along with a destination wellness center called the Royal Spa. Other amenities include 11 different bars, an entertainment plaza and a number of private cabanas.

The property will include a “Stay at 1, Play at 2” feature, meaning guests will have open-ended access to Royalton Blue Waters. It is noteworthy that Blue Diamond is in the midst of a broader program to upgrade its Diamond Club and Star Class room categories, including the expansion of its Butler Services program.

This will increase the number of butlers per resort, “ensuring a higher level of personalized service for each guest,” the company explains. The new resort is part of Marriott’s ever-expanding portfolio of all-inclusive resorts, many of which are the product of a strategic alliance between Royalton and the Autograph Collection.

“On one side you have what’s happening in terms of law enforcement, but on the other side, in terms of justice, there’s a lot of work that’s taking place, and so the Minister of Justice [Horace Chang] has spoken a lot about this, and they have sensitised over 29,000 Jamaicans about restorative justice since the start of 2024, and the restorative justice unit is promoting a culture of peace and non-violent conflict resolution, which we know is absolutely important,” Dixon said.
