Residents of Hanover, who are served by the Logwood Treatment Plant, are being advised to brace for a disruption in their regular water supply due to declining inflows at the facility.

The National Water Commission (NWC) says the plant is currently running at approximately 55 per cent.

The NWC says it has implemented water supply regulations, which will see customers receiving water supply between the hours of 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. on weekdays.

The regulations are being enforced in the areas of Logwood, March Town, Cave Valley, Orange Bay, Green Island, Salt Spring, Cauldwell, Pell River, Prospect, Friendship, New Hope and Orange Hill.

Residents are also being advised to store water for use during the off-periods and to exercise conservation measures during this time.

“Every effort will be made to adhere closely to the supply schedule. The company will continuously monitor and advise of any further adjustments to the schedules where necessary,” the NWC said.
