UNA, One on One’s upcoming AI assistant will be a part of the One Academy for Students and Teachers and its Teacher Availability Solution (TAS) launching in time for the upcoming school year in September.
Speaking with Our Today, Juanita Neil, head of marketing at One on One shared that the current iteration of the AI tool will be used to help students navigate the TAS platform but is actively being improved to offer more features.
Neil assured that once the TAS has launched, the next phase is to implement specialised CSEC learning starting with Math, English, and Science assistance options for students struggling in those areas. She explained that the company has decided to focus on a successful rollout of the TAS through the One Academy and then implement its mentioned student assistance, as well as all-encompassing teacher support features to assist with tasks ranging from developing lesson plans to generating handouts with the use of AI in the near future.

Through the Teacher Availability Solution (TAS), participating high schools will be provided with the use of 86-inch smart interactive whiteboards, One on One’s classroom in a box device, and an on-the-ground facilitator to connect with expert instructors for various subjects at the One Academy.
Neil said the company will announce the roll-out dates for the next phases after the initial launch of One Academy for Schools and Teachers in September.
The company has mentioned plans to expand into the wider Caribbean and Neil also mentioned plans to create or incorporate an AI model for assisting businesses.
