OpenAI, a leading artificial intelligence research laboratory and creator of the infamous AI chatbot ChatGPT, has granted all paying customers access to the highly anticipated GPT-4 API.

Since its introduction in March, the ChatGPT API has garnered immense interest from developers worldwide, with millions of requests for access to the GPT-4 API. OpenAI’s latest model is set to revolutionize the field of natural language processing and fuel innovation across various industries.

GPT-4, the most advanced model developed by OpenAI to date, can now accept images in addition to text compared to GPT-3 and was trained on a larger data set which means it is better at understanding and answering questions than its predecessor, especially with coding.

The company said it plans to “expand access to new developers by the end of this month and gradually increase rate limits based on computational availability.”
