Victoria Mutual Investments Limited (VMIL) has made a number of management changes in the organisation.
These changes are aligned to the business’ strategic goal of being an employer of choice and are in keeping with its robust talent management programme. VM Wealth Management reports that the varied skillsets of the promoted team members bring to the table are set to help generate value for shareholders as the organisation executes on its three-year strategic plan.
Effective January 1, 2022, Evette Bryan has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Treasury & Asset Management. Bryan has been with VM Wealth Management since 2001 in numerous capacities.
In her new role, she has responsibility for driving the Treasury & Asset Management functions, which are crucial to the future growth of the company. Effective January 1, 2022, Denise Marshall-Miller has been promoted to Senior Manager – Bonds, Equities & Digital Assets Trading.
Marshall-Miller joined VM Wealth Management in 2011 as Bond Trading Manager and has since taken on increasing responsibilities in securities trading. Marshall-Miller is spearheading the expansion of VMIL’s suite of products into non-traditional asset classes including digital assets.
More promotions at VM Wealth Management
Effective January 1, 2022, Tamara Waul-Douglas has been promoted to Senior Manager – Sales & Client Relations. With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, Waul-Douglas joined the team in 2019 and has been instrumental in building the cadre of Sales and Client Relations professionals who aggressively promote and sell a suite of investment products and services, build and maintain key client relationships and deliver consistent superior customer service.
Effective January 1, 2022, Nicole Adamson’s portfolio responsibilities were expanded resulting in her new title of Manager – Research, Business Planning and Investor Relations. Adamson has two decades’ experience in the financial industry in both the private and public sectors.
She joined the team at VM Wealth Management in April 2011 in the capacity of Research Manager. Adamson oversees a team of analysts that provides insights into the local and global economies and investment guidance on investments spanning equities, bonds and other non-traditional investments. Her expanded role has her driving the corporate social responsibility of the VMIL group as well as engaging key stakeholders as part of investor relations.
Effective July 12, 2021, Jason Bailey joined VM Wealth Management Ltd. as Manager – Risk and Compliance and comes with over five years of combined experience in enterprise risk management (ERM) and compliance. His mandate is to foster a strong risk and compliance culture and awareness among team members and to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory agencies and adherence to internal policies.
He is also responsible for developing, executing and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework which includes identifying, assessing, controlling, monitoring and reporting on risks that may impact VM’s performance. He will also partner with each unit and oversee the implementation of the ERM framework, and act as a subject matter expert on risk and compliance matters.
Beefing up corporate and commercial banking
Effective October 01, 2021, Gwelodine Ricketts joined VM Wealth Management as Manager – Capital Markets and comes with over 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial banking. Her mandate is to assist with business development, coordinate and execute capital market transactions, and assist with driving the professional development of human capital by building capability and capacity of the team.
She will be utilising her experience in conducting due diligence and risk assessments of entities operating both locally and, in the region, monitoring account performance, operations management and customer service with a key focus on relationship management.
Effective January 1, 2022, Peta-Gaye Russell-Peart has been promoted to Team Lead – Premium Wealth Sales.
Russell-Peart joined VM Wealth Management in November 2018 and has over eight years experience in her field. Her portfolio has been expanded to include premium wealth management which offers tailored services to high net worth clients, while also promoting and selling a suite of investment products while delivering superior customer service to all clients.
Effective January 1, 2022, Daniele Clarke has been promoted to Team Lead – Client Relations and has a mandate to manage the overall client experience process for VM Wealth Management by developing and executing initiatives to restructure and optimise all customer service channels. She joined VM Wealth Management in August 2018 and has over 12 years of financial services experience.
Clarke specialises in customer experience, investment management, business development, relationship management, strategic planning and performance management.
