Several dancehall artistes have hopped on a new music trend, releasing songs on the famous ‘Dutty Money Riddim’ by Jamaican record producer Rvssian.

A revised version of the iconic dancehall riddim, first used by incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel in his hit song Go-Go Club, has been sampled by artistes such as Najeeriii with his song PHAT PHAT, Malie Donn, The 9ine’s song Muss Shot and RajahWild’s Go Go.

The artistes, who initially illegally sampled the riddim, have been pardoned by Rvssian, resulting in many more hopping on the beat to show what they can do.

The re-birth of the riddim has prompted Vybz Kartel to once again team up with Rvssian to release Go Go Club Pt 2 two decades later. Kartel, who shared the news on his Instagram, said the song would be released on Friday.
