Dancehall artiste Valiant continues to maintain his dominance in the local entertainment industry, with many of his recently released tracks trending this week.

The Dunce Cheque artiste has produced some controversial songs about violence, ignorance and drugs since the start of his career, but that has not stopped his progress.

Dubbed ‘Fadda Dipo’ by fans, the artiste has collaborated with a few local artistes such as Pablo YG and Tommy Lee Sparta, to create songs that trend on the small island, in addition to his solo pieces.

He then states that they do not known his heart and goes on to state some of his values and characteristics.

Synopsis: Malie says his enemies are not a serious threat to him and they are only pretending to be bad men. He then states that they only have talk on Instagram accusing them of being cowards and homosexuals.

8. Rvssian X Skeng – Switch

Genre: Dancehall

Synopsis: The pair boasts about their luxurious lifestyles and violent personalities. The title of the song refers to the switch on their gun that they flip whenever they feel violated by anyone.

7. Jahshii – God in Charge

Release date: December 4, 2022

Genre: Dancehall

Synopsis: Jahsii shares that his rise to fame has resulted in an increase in the amount of fake people he has around him. He vows to never change the way he acts, always staying true to his roots.

He then states that God is in charge, but he will always have his gun on him.

Synopsis: Squash boasts about his level of preparedness, noting that he is always ready for a random call that will require him to ‘chop di line’.

He then boasts that he is a big time scammer, only having big clients and collecting large sums of cash.

Synopsis: The trio talk about money, and their ability to steal a man’s woman with one guzu bunx and a fada rock, new dance moves that the group have created.

Synopsis: Valiant says he lives for the fast life, sharing his love for fast cars and quick money. He then boasts about his fashion sense, noting that women compare him to a guillotine.

A guillotine is a machine used to behead people. It has a heavy blade that slides into a vertical groove.

Synopsis: Valiant talks about being dunce while in school. But, money is now the subject that he studies and he has good credit.

1. Popcaan, Toni- Ann Singh – Next to Me

Synopsis: The song features Popcaan and former Miss World Toni-Ann Singh. The beauty queen sings about running away with the dancehall artiste, seemingly confirming the pair’s relationship.

Popcaan then reassures her that they do not have to run away, pleading for her to stay right next to him.
