Dancehall artiste Valiant.

Staying true to his promise to release more conscious music, Valiant reflects on his humble beginnings and his journey to becoming one of the top dancehall artistes in Jamaica.

Valiant has been a recording artiste since 2012, but he rose to fame last year. Consequently, his controversial music became the topic of conversation, prompting the ban on violent and scammer songs on the radio. Some Jamaicans even thought that his release of ‘choppa’ and violent music was influencing youths to partake in illegal and dangerous activity.

The artiste then promised Jamaicans that he would change gear, releasing more uplifting and conscious music, stating that he has more to offer.

A few of his controversial songs include Dunce Cheque, C.A.L, and North Carolina.
