
The House of Representatives will resume its meetings tomorrow (January 11) following the customary Christmas recess.
According to a statement from Parliament, it is expected that the Second Supplementary Estimates for the 2021-2022 Financial Year will be tabled during Tuesday’s meeting of the House and approved at a meeting of the House scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
The first supplementary estimates were tabled in the House last October, showing plans for an increase of $30 billion in Government spending, bringing total recurrent and capital expenditures to $867 billion.
Also resuming meetings this week are the Infrastructure and Development Committee, the Public Administration and Appropriation Committee and the Joint Select Committee reviewing ‘The Electricity Act, 2015’.
