

VM Investments Limited (VMIL) has announced the passing of Chartered Accountant Phillip G Silvera, a long-serving and highly respected member of the VMIL Board of Directors and a distinguished member of the broader VM Group.
Silvera passed away on Thursday, August 21. He has served on the VMIL Board with distinction, providing strategic oversight and guidance shaped by decades of financial and executive experience.
He also chaired the Audit and Risk Committees of VMIL, where his expertise, diligence and integrity were invaluable to the company’s governance framework. Silver’s contributions played a significant role in strengthening VMIL’s risk management practices and overall corporate accountability.
A Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, Silvera was widely regarded as a pillar of the accounting and finance profession in Jamaica. He was also a director of VM Financial Group and VM Wealth Management Limited.
The Board of Directors, Executive Management, and team members of VM Investments Limited extend deepest condolences to his wife Faye, their three children, and the entire Silvera family. VMIL says it is grateful for Silvera’s outstanding service and enduring legacy.
