Former NBA guard Patrick Beverley will not face criminal charges months after he was accused of assaulting his 15-year-old sister in Texas.

A grand jury in Fort Bend County returned a no-bill in the case, deciding there was not enough evidence to proceed.

The allegations stemmed from a November 2025 incident in which Beverley’s sister claimed a confrontation erupted after she left home to meet her boyfriend. She told investigators he grabbed her by the neck, lifted her off the ground and later slammed her against a wall and struck her. Police were called by the boyfriend, and officers reportedly observed marks on her neck and signs consistent with restricted breathing.

Beverley had been arrested on a felony assault charge at the time, but later said publicly that the situation had been misunderstood. A family statement also suggested the account given in the heat of the moment did not reflect what actually happened.
