EYC, the Caribbean segment of global consulting firm Ernst & Young (EY), has named Paul B Scott as the recipient of the prestigious Master Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2023 Jamaica award.
The announcement was made during a spectacular ceremony held last Saturday (May 4) at the Hyatt Zilara in Montego Bay, where his wife Jen Scott received the award on his behalf.
EY’s recognition of PB Scott underscores his exemplary leadership, strategic vision, and significant contributions to business innovation and social growth in Jamaica. His success epitomises the ethos of entrepreneurship and serves as an inspiration to aspiring business leaders across the region. Beyond business success, Scott is committed to social responsibility and community empowerment.
He actively engages in philanthropic initiatives through his company’s foundations, focusing on education, food security, and community development. Thousands have benefited from scholarships, school-feeding programmes, and investing in STEAM education – altogether underscoring Scott’s ‘builder’ mentality.
The EOY serves as a platform to recognise and celebrate outstanding entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in their respective fields. The Master category is one determined by expert selection and P.B. Scott’s remarkable achievements, entrepreneurial spirit and passion to build Jamaica through expansion globally, earned him the esteemed title.
Over the past two decades, Scott has steered the Musson Group’s evolution from a modest Jamaican consumer wholesale distributor to a formidable conglomerate operating across 30 countries. This trajectory reflects his unwavering dedication to identifying and capitalising on opportunities across diverse sectors and attracting and developing the best local talent. Further, Scott’s impact transcends the corporate realm as he actively contributes to national development through public service.
As winner of the master category, Scott will represent Jamaica in what is deemed the most prestigious business awards programme – the World EOY (to be held in Monaco in June).
When asked about receiving the award, he offered his sentiments, “Well, it’s very nice to be recognised. It’s an honour to be a part of something that’s global. It’s going to be incredible to meet other winners and I’m just very thankful that I could be awarded an award for something I enjoy doing. It’s very kind of them.”

The May 4 gala, at which EOY winners were announced in the four categories – Start-up, Emerging, Family Business, and Master – was preceded by two days of the inaugural Strategic Growth Forum (SGF) Caribbean.
The SGF is a premier C-Suite business retreat, that brings together top business leaders, EY subject matter experts, renowned speakers, and investors to catalyse business transformation and drive growth across the Caribbean region.
