Peetah Morgan, lead singer for Morgan Heritage, dies at 47

Peetah Morgan, the lead singer of the celebrated reggae family band Morgan Heritage, passed away moments ago on Sunday (February 25). He was 47.

The family band, in a statement via its Instagram page, hailed the musician as a devoted husband and father while asking for privacy in this difficult time.

No cause of death of immediately disclosed in the confirmatory social media post.

Born Peter Anthony Morgan on on July 11, 1977, Peetah’s powerful vocals led Morgan Heritage to success in the steps of reggae icon and family patriarch, Denroy Morgan.

The elder Morgan died on March 4, 2022.
