Justin Mohn, a 32-year-old resident of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was arrested following a now-viral video where he holds his father’s severed head in a post to YouTube.
In the video posted early Tuesday morning (January 30), Mohn referred to his father as a ‘traitor’ before going on a rant, spewing right-leaning conspiracy theories with his father’s severed head in hand. It is alleged that Mohn murdered his father, claiming that he worked for the federal government for twenty years. After finding her husband’s headless body on the bathroom floor, Mohn’s mother made the call to the police.
He complained in his video, “Mohn’s Militia – Call to Arms for American Patriots,” urging his viewers to take action against federal employees like his father, calling for the “public execution of federal employees for betraying their country…”
Mohn also blasted the LGBTQ community, the Biden administration, and the Black Lives Matter movement in the video. The video received over 5,000 views before being removed by YouTube over five hours later.
YouTube claimed that its staff is keeping a careful eye on the platform and would be working to get rid of any more uploads of the videos.
Investigators at the crime scene located a machete and a large kitchen knife in the bathtub. According to the police, Justin Mohn and his father were the only ones in the home for about five hours.
Mohn was apprehended by the police 100 miles away from the crime scene, where he drove his father’s car to an undisclosed location.
According to the court documents, he has subsequently been charged with first-degree murder, possessing a weapon of crime, and abusing a corpse when he was arraigned this morning at 4 a.m. Lt. Pete Feeney of the Middletown Township.
More charges might be brought said the police.
