With a third consecutive downward revision of its pricing regimen this week, baseline estimates from State-owned refinery, Petrojam, will be their lowest in eight months.

In its closely watched petroleum product price index, Petrojam slashed 87-octane gasolene by J$3.06, which will be offered at J$151.36 per litre effective midnight Thursday (October 23).

The latest pricing update marks the third weekly cycle of cost cuts, with 87-octane at its lowest level since April 24 (J$151.46).

Meanwhile, price cuts were most pronounced for 87- and 90-octane gasolene, automotive diesel and its ultra-low sulphur diesel counterpart, asphalt, kerosene and heavy fuel oils, which dipped J$3.06, respectively.

Retailers are expected to place their own markups on the introductory prices.
