Leaders Montego Bay United were held to a 0-0 draw by Portmore United at Jarrett Park on Sunday. It was a result that saw Montego Bay United inch closer to 36 points and maintain their three-point lead at the top of the standings. Portmore United remained in third spot on 31 points.
At the Ferdie Neita Park in Portmore, Racing United came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Dunbeholden FC.
Odane Samuels opened the scoring for Dunbeholden in the 4th minute before Tajay Grant equalised for Racing United in minute 75.
Racing failed to close the gap on Montego Bay United and stayed in second spot with 33 points, while Dunbeholden are ninth on 19 points, four points adrift of the last playoff spot held by Cavalier SC in sixth on 23 points.
Over at the Royal Lakes Complex, Phoenix Chapelton Maroons continued to surge, beating Spanish Town Police FC 1-0 and jumped two places to fourth on 25 points.
Damoi Whitfield scored the winner in the 31st minute, condemning Spanish Town Police to their 13th defeat from 17 games as they remained firmly rooted to the bottom of the table on eight points.
The competition continues on Monday with 11th-placed Molynes United on 17 points, taking on a Tivoli Gardens team in seventh spot on 22 points in the first game of a double-header at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex at 5 pm.
In the feature encounter, Arnett Gardens in eighth spot, on 19 points, tackle 10th-placed Waterhouse FC on 18 points at 7:30 pm.
