PHOTOS: Global Game Jamrock a huge success at UWI

Gamers, coders, programmers and other enthusiasts gathered at the University of the West Indies, Mona (UWI) recently to take part in the local staging of Global Game Jam 2023 under the name ‘Global Game Jamrock’. 

The event was hosted at the university from February 3 to February 5. 

Global Game Jam is an international multi-day game-creation event.

The event fosters networking and teambuilding skills among game developers around the globe and presents them with the opportunity to showcase and advance their skills.

Students from the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) formed the planning committee and were supported by local organisations such as Infinity Integrated Marketing Communications Limited (Infinity IMC), which was on location to reward all participants with medals.
