A whirlwind of performances by dancehall’s biggest hit-makers ignited Catherine Hall, Montego Bay on Friday (July 21) for Night 1 of the Caribbean’s largest music festival, Reggae Sumfest.

Patrons were out by the thousands to enjoy live stage performances of their favourite, top-charting artistes such as Valiant, Masika, Stalk Ashley, Chronic Law and the highly anticipated Tommy Lee, after his three-year hiatus.

The artistes fed the crowd hit after hit to their happiest delight with the full works of back-up singers, dancers and musicians.

Various booths dotted the venue, including Red Stripe’s Vibes Lounge, a hit among patrons who enjoyed their aesthetic showcase of ‘how wi dweet’ as Jamaicans and the ice-cold beers and chilled Rum Stripe available for the choosing.

Reggae Sumfest Night 1 was certainly a well-rounded experience of excellence in entertainment.
