With 40.1 per cent of votes totalled in the direct election of mayor for the Portmore Municipal Corporation, the People’s National Party (PNP) is poised for a resounding victory in the 2024 Local Government Election held today (February 26).
The Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ), as at 8:52 pm, says it has counted 128 of 319 boxes.
