PNP’s Delroy Dawson wins Aenon Town division

Preliminary results of the Aenon Town by-election published by the Electoral Office of Jamaica.

The People’s National Party (PNP) Delroy Dawson will represent the Aenon Town division following today’s by-election.

Dawson secured 1,646 votes ahead of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Suzette Barton with 1,592 votes to take control of the division, with a voter turnout of 46.8 per cent.

The Electoral Office of Jamaica says these are preliminary results. The official results will be published after the final count is done by the returning officer.

Some 6,921 voters were eligible to vote in the division.
