21-year-old Shamara Holmes, who was allegedly found in the company of her boyfriend, who escaped from the Constant Spring Police lock-up, has been charged with harbouring a fugitive.
The unemployed St Catherine woman lives on St John’s Road in Spanish Town.
The charge arose from the capture of Talik Chambers, who was held by the police on Wednesday in Waterloo Gardens, St Catherine.
Chambers, who hails from Burlington Avenue, Kingston 10, and was one of nine prisoners who escaped from the lockup, was held during a police operation.
The police stated that he was in remand on a charge of identity theft at the time of his escape.
Meanwhile, the police are warning citizens not to harbour wanted persons, as it is a criminal offence to do so.
Holmes is set to appear in the St Catherine Parish court on a date to be finalised.
