The police are advising that they have cleared the Fullerswood main road in St Elizabeth that was blocked by residents Friday morning.

“Motorists are now able to traverse the roadway without delays,” the Constabulary Communications Network said in a release.

Frustrated residents had taken to the streets to protest the continued delay in the return of electricity to their community.

Fullerswood and other parts of St Elizabeth have been without electricity since the passage of Hurricane Beryl in July.

St Elizabeth has witnessed pockets of demonstrations ever since.
