Police commissioner involved in Ocho Rios car collision

Commissioner of Police Dr Kevin Blake escaped serious injury on Sunday (February 2) when the service vehicle he was travelling in was involved in a motor vehicle accident on the Bull Point main road in the vicinity of Dolphin Cove, Ocho Rios, St Ann.

From information received, Blake, his driver and another occupant, were travelling in a Toyota Prado on the Dunns River main road in the vicinity of Dolphin Cove around 11:35 am when a Toyota Fielder motor car, which was heading towards St Ann’s Bay, overtook a line of traffic.

The Toyota Fielder collided with the right side of the service vehicle which was travelling in an easterly direction.

The service vehicle received damages to its right front wheel while the right front section of the Toyota Fielder received damage.

The driver of the Toyota Fielder motor car received injuries to his chest area and was taken to hospital by personnel from the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Area 2 Highway Patrol. There were no reported injuries by personnel in the service vehicle.

A Subaru motor car also received minor damages during this accident, the particulars of the driver or the vehicle were not immediately disclosed.
