Police extend curfew in St Andrew South Division

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has moved to extend curfew restrictions in the volatile St Andrew South division by another 48 hours on September 28.

The curfew, which was renewed at 6:00 pm on Sunday, will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 30.

The boundaries are as follows:

East along an imaginary line at Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue, travelling southerly to East Avenue, intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.

South along an imaginary line from the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive vicinity, East Avenue to
Duhaney River.

West from an imaginary line from the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbour.

North along an imaginary line from the Happy Grove community, drawn to Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield
Avenue intersection following the divisional boundary.

During the hours of the curfew, persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
