Police in viral video removed from frontline duties

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed that the individual involved in a viral video depicting an altercation following a motor vehicle collision is a policeman.

“We take these allegations seriously and have taken immediate action,” the constabulary said. 

“All parties involved have been identified and contacted, and the officer has been removed from frontline duties pending the outcome of a thorough investigation by the Inspectorate and Professional  Oversight Bureau (IPROB),” it added. 

The Jamaica Constabulary Force said it is committed to transparency and accountability in this matter. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
