The police are advising citizens who will be attending the Freedom Street Concert at the National Stadium on Tuesday, December 31 that there’s a ban on certain items entering the venue.
The banned items include firearms, explosives, knives, large igloos, glass bottles, large umbrellas, scissors or any other item that can be used to cause serious harm or injury.
The public is also advised that no parking will be allowed at the National Stadium. A one-way system will be strictly enforced. Motorists travelling along Mountain View Avenue and Arthur Wint Drive may experience disruptions in normal traffic flow before, during and after the event.
Shuttle parks have been established at Heroes Park, 8 West King’s House Road and Jamaica College.
Traffic personnel will be deployed along the roadways and members of the public are being advised to follow their instructions.
