The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) yesterday (June 10) reported that its members started an “intensive pursuit operation” in St James for the parish’s most wanted man, Oshane Francis, otherwise called, ‘Brukhand’..

The search for Francis follows the killing of Nester ‘Zaddo’ Gallimore during a shoot-out with members of the security forces in Barrett Town community on June 3.

Gallimore, along with brothers Javaughn Henry and Jadane Henry, were killed in the incident.

The operation is focused in and around the Rosemount area, where the police have reportedly seized a vehicle said to be used by Francis.

“As the operation continues to unfold, the Divisional Commander and his team are encouraging all citizens within the Rosemount community to remain inside their homes for their own safety,” said the JCF.

“The JCF remains committed to maintaining the peace and safety in the parish and the broader
Jamaican community. We are urging persons to report any suspicious activities or individuals
observed in and around the Rosemount area. Any relevant information can be relayed to the JCF through the (National Intelligence Bureau) NIB Tip Line at 811, Crime Stop at 311, Police Emergency at 119 or the nearest police station,” added the JCF.

Vaz stated that although the opposition has sought to turn the bus system into a political football, he noted that the bus system is not a matter to be politicised because it benefits all rural parents and students regardless of colour, creed or political affiliation.
