The police are appealing to the public’s assistance in locating 37-year-old Samuel Brown, otherwise called ‘Shooter’ or ‘Mark’, who is wanted for the murder of 49-year-old O’Neil Mullings, a jockey from the 440 Drive community in Kingston 11.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Damion Manderson, commanding officer of the St Andrew South Division, said Mullings was killed following a dispute with Brown on Sunday, September 21, around 6:40 pm.

“We’re seeking the public’s assistance to locate 37-year-old Samuel Brown… he’s wanted, and I repeat, he’s wanted for the murder of 49-year-old O’Neill Mullings,” Manderson said in a statement.

Members of the public who know Brown’s whereabouts are being urged to contact the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigations Branch at 923-7111, or call 311 or 811.

Manderson also appealed directly to Brown to surrender. “We are asking and urging Brown to surrender to the police with the aid of family members, a pastor, or justice of the peace, to just report to the nearest police station so that we can execute the warrant and carry on our investigations,” he said.

He further urged citizens not to shelter the fugitive but instead assist in ensuring justice is served.
